The Bolivar County Library System is pleased to offer Freegal® Music, a free music service. Freegal® offers access to about 9 million songs, including Sony Music’s catalog of legendary artists, and over 15,000 music videos.
Library card users 18 and older may download up to three songs per week (videos count as two songs) with your BCLS library card number (the barcode on the back of your card that you enter without spaces) and PIN. All songs are in standard MP3 format and can be kept for as long as you like. Note that there is a download usage counter in the upper right-hand corner of the main page that displays your weekly allotment; the counter resets each Monday at 12:01 a.m. Eastern Time.
While there are no DRM restrictions, like all library materials, the songs and videos you download are for personal, non-commercial use. You may back-up music and videos saved to your computer or mobile devices or even burn them to a CD. You may NOT duplicate the content for others or play it in public, other than for the enjoyment of a normal circle of friends and family.
