Homeowners and Renters may receive assistance from the Small Business Administration (SBA) or get referred back to FEMA for additional grant consideration if SBA determines you cannot afford a low interest long-term loan. Survivors who are referred to SBA should contact them about completing the SBA application so the process won’t stop.
See the SBA Information Sheet for Mississippi Residents in Declared Counties (PDF) for more information about disaster assistance that is available, including SBA Disaster Loans.
SBA Customer Service Representatives are at the Disaster Recovery Centers with FEMA or you can call them at 800-659-2955. See SBA’s Information Sheet for locations of Disaster Recovery Centers (PDF).
If you have questions, please contact Tamara Blackwell, Reference Services Librarian, at email@example.com or call (662) 843-2774 Ext. 104.
