The Dancing Rabbit Consortium was created to facilitate reciprocal borrowing from among member libraries. Originally, anyone with a library card in good standing for at least six months from any member library could be issued a Dancing Rabbit card to borrow from other Consortium members.
Please be aware that most of the original members are no longer active in the Dancing Rabbit Consortium. Call the library you wish to borrow from prior to visiting to ask if they still participate in the Dancing Rabbit program. Also, some libraries may have additional requirements, such as requiring patrons to join their Friends of the Library group. Specific rules for the Dancing Rabbit card may vary among member libraries and privileges are not uniform in all of the member libraries. For example, a patron may be able to check out all types of materials at one library and only print books at another.
The original members of the DRLC are:
- Bolivar County Library System
- Carnegie Public Library of Clarksdale and Coahoma County
- Dickerson-Johnson Library at Coahoma Community College
- First Regional Library
- Greenwood-Leflore Public Library System
- Humphreys County Library System

For Bolivar County Library Card holders to qualify for a Dancing Rabbit card, they must have had a library card at least six months and be in good standing (i.e., owe no fines/fees or have overdue materials). To obtain a Dancing Rabbit card, stop by any Bolivar County Library System branch and request one at the Circulation Desk.
NOTICE: If the library system that you have a library card from does not participate in the Dancing Rabbit Program, Bolivar County Library System cannot issue you a Dancing Rabbit Card. We only issue Dancing Rabbit Cards to our own library patrons.
